CO2 extraction is a process that separates plant matter into individual components. Historically it’s been used to decaffeinate coffee beans or create herbal extractions for essential oil blends (which are often found in beauty products and potpourri). In the case of cannabis, this type of extraction uses CO2 as a solvent to separate individual cannabinoids from plant material. The cannabinoids are then consolidated into a waxes and liquids.
We chose CO2 extraction because it is a well-tested and supremely clean extraction method that leaves no residual solvents. It produces consistent oils that allow us to precisely and accurately manufacture our line of products each and every time. And for us, that is the most important aspect to any extraction.
